Starter for petrol chainsaw STIHL MS290 / MS310 / MS390

This Stihl MS290 starter – a non-original pull-start assembly designed for compatible Stihl MS290, MS310 and MS390 petrol chainsaws. It can be used to replace a damaged starter housing or a mechanism with a broken pulley, return spring, rope, handle or engine engagement part.

The starter corresponds to the current number 1127 080 2108. In addition, this number supersedes several earlier starter numbers for the same family of saws.

Mounting screws and other external parts should not be considered part of the kit if they are not visible in the product photos.

Before installation, inspect the starter cup, flywheel engagement parts and adjacent covers. Also make sure the engine rotates normally. A seized engine or a damaged starter cup can damage the new pulley and rope.
