The starter is intended to replace a cracked cover, a damaged rope drum, a broken return spring, a worn rope or a broken handle. Since the main starter parts are already assembled in the housing, there is no need to separately rebuild the old starting mechanism.

When the handle is pulled, the starter pawls engage with the engine starting mechanism and transmit torque to the crankshaft. Once the engine starts the pawls disengage, and the return spring winds the rope back onto the drum.

Montavimas ir patikra

Before installation check the starter flywheel socket and the mating surfaces. A heavily worn or damaged socket may prevent the new starter pawls from properly engaging the engine. Also clean out sawdust, dirt and residues of the old rope.

Starterio gaubtą dėkite ant pjūklo jo nespausdami jėga. Jei mechanizmai nesusijungia, šiek tiek patraukite rankeną ir tuo pačiu atsargiai prispauskite gaubtą. Tvirtinimo varžtus veržkite tolygiai, o prieš paleisdami variklį kelis kartus patikrinkite starterio veikimą.

The rope must extend smoothly and fully return into the housing. Do not pull it sharply to the end of its travel, as this places additional stress on the rope, drum and spring.
