It can be used to replace a broken starter housing or a mechanism with a damaged pulley, spring, rope, handle or engine coupling part.

The starter matches part numbers 537104702 and 537422901 for compatible saw versions. It is supplied as an assembled unit, so the main starting mechanism parts are replaced together.
