Shock absorber compatible with STIHL MS170 \/ MS180

„Winzor“ shock absorbers fit compatible STIHL 017, 018, MS170 and MS180 gas-powered chainsaws. They replace the part with number 1123 791 2800.

The flexible rubber helps reduce the vibration transmitted from the engine and cutting mechanism to the handle and housing. Intact shock absorbers ensure controlled movement between the joined saw housings.

Due to engine heat, vibration and fuel residues the rubber can harden, compress or crack over time. A worn ring damper increases the vibration transmitted to the handles and can allow the housings to move more than intended.

Before repair, turn off the saw, let the engine cool and disconnect the ignition spark plug wire. After removing the necessary covers, support the joined housings and carefully remove the old damper.

Clean the mounting area. Install the new ring damper without cutting, twisting or overstretching it. Before reassembling the saw, check that the part is fully seated in its designated position.
