Piston kit for Chinese trimmer / brushcutters BC415 (44mm)

This BC415 44mm piston kit – „Winzor“ piston assembly, intended for compatible Chinese-built brushcutters and trimmers with a 44mm cylinder. This cylinder diameter is most commonly used by TL52, CG520, BC520, BC550 and other 52 cm³ class two-stroke brushcutters.

Names of Chinese brushcutter models depend on the importer. For example, the BC415 designation is used for both 40mm and 44mm engines. Therefore, before ordering, measure the old piston or cylinder. Also compare piston height, piston pin position, the position of the ring retainers and the shape of the piston crown.

Inspection and installation

Before installation inspect the cylinder working surface and the edges of the ports. A scored cylinder can quickly damage a new piston. Also check the connecting rod and crankshaft bearings.

Install the piston in the correct direction and seat the rings against their retaining pins. Then lubricate the piston, rings and needle bearing with clean two-stroke engine oil. Finally, rotate the crankshaft by hand and check for free piston movement.
