When to replace the muffler?

A damaged muffler can produce an unusually loud noise, leave soot marks on the cylinder or direct hot exhaust gases toward adjacent parts of the chainsaw. Cracks around the mounting points also prevent the muffler from being fastened securely.

Properly installed, the Husqvarna 55 muffler restores a sealed exhaust path. This is a „Winzor“ manufactured aftermarket replacement part.

Before installation, clean the surface of the cylinder exhaust port, but do not allow loosened carbon deposits to enter the cylinder. Tighten the fasteners evenly and check again after the engine has completely cooled.
