Ignition coil for Husqvarna 137 / 142 chainsaws

This Husqvarna 137 ignition coil – „Winzor“ ignition module, is designed for several Husqvarna chainsaws of the same construction. The coil generates the high voltage required for the spark plug's spark, so it is suitable to replace a faulty or intermittently operating module.

The ignition module is sold with mounting points intended for the specified family of chainsaws. However, Husqvarna used different versions of the ignition system during different production periods. Therefore compare the part number, mounting holes and electrical connector with the old coil.

Installation and fault check

A faulty coil can cause a weak or intermittent spark, difficult starting and the engine cutting out when it warms up. However, similar symptoms can also be caused by an incorrect spark plug, a damaged kill wire or the flywheel. For this reason, first check these parts.

When installing, clean the flywheel magnets and set the required gap between the flywheel and the coil according to the technical data. Also route the lead so that it does not touch the flywheel. Finally, check the engine shut-off switch.
