  • This Stihl MS660 cylinder kit is a 54 mm HYWAY TITANIKEL cylinder with a piston set designed to repair compatible Stihl 066 and MS660 chainsaws. The cylinder's working surface is coated with TITANIKEL, and a conventional-design piston of the correct diameter is supplied. OEM comparison number: 1122 020 1211.

        This is the standard 54 mm version for 066 and MS660 engines, not a 56 mm oversized kit or a Pop-Up piston variant. The kit is used when replacing a scored cylinder, damaged piston, or worn rings while maintaining the original cylinder diameter of the corresponding 066 or MS660 engine.

    COMPATIBILITY

        Standard-diameter repair: Stihl 066 and MS660, as well as corresponding Magnum and MS660 R variants that use the same cylinder assembly.

        Conversion to a larger diameter: Stihl MS650, when the original 52 mm cylinder is replaced with a compatible 54 mm assembly.

        In the MS650 model this kit should be considered as an engine conversion rather than a replacement of the original-diameter cylinder. Before installation check the intake manifold, cylinder mounting and the compatibility of surrounding engine parts. Belonging to the same engine family does not replace an individual saw inspection.

    KIT CONTENTS

        The kit includes a 54 mm TITANIKEL cylinder, a matching piston, two piston rings, a wrist pin and its circlips. Use the cylinder and piston as a matched set. Evaluate the need for a crankcase base gasket, piston pin bearing and decompression assembly parts separately.

        This is an HYWAY aftermarket replacement kit, not an original Stihl cylinder or a complete engine overhaul kit.

    BEFORE INSTALLATION

        Before cleaning, inspect damaged parts, as their condition can help determine the cause of failure. Check the crankshaft bearings, seals, intake boot, fuel supply and carburetor. A new cylinder alone does not eliminate intake leaks or fuel supply faults.

        Clean the crankcase and inspect parts to be reused. Observe correct piston orientation, ring positioning, sealing and bolt torquing sequence. After assembly check engine sealing and carburetor adjustment.
