Gearbox for Chinese trimmer BC415 9T D26mm

This BC415 gearbox is a „Winzor“ analogue lower gearbox unit intended for Chinese and Polish brushcutters with a 26mm tube and a 9-spline inner shaft. It transmits rotation from the engine drive shaft to the cutting head or blade. Therefore the gearbox replaces a worn or mechanically damaged original part.

The left-hand thread of the output shaft helps retain the cutting head or blade fastening elements during operation. Because of this, the fastening part is unscrewed in the opposite direction to a standard right-hand thread.

The gearbox fits only equipment whose all the main dimensions match: 26mm tube, 9-spline shaft and M10×1,25 left-hand thread. The BC415 marking alone is not enough, because different manufacturers use non-identical transmission parts. Therefore, before ordering, measure the tube and count the splines.

Before installation remove the spark plug cap and the cutting attachment. Then clean the end of the tube and inspect the inner shaft. A bent shaft, worn splines or heavy corrosion prevent the gearbox from properly fixing into place.

Align the shaft splines and slide on the housing without using impact force. Evenly tighten the fastening and compression bolts. Finally, rotate the output shaft by hand and check that it moves smoothly.
