Gasket and oil seal set Husqvarna 55 / 51

This Husqvarna 55 gasket set contains the main engine gaskets and crankshaft oil seals required to repair compatible Husqvarna 50 series saws. It replaces hardened, cracked or compressed sealing parts.

The construction of these models varies by year of manufacture. Therefore, before installation, compare the shapes of the gaskets and the dimensions of the oil seals with the removed parts.

Parts included in the kit

The kit includes:

Cylinder base gasket
Crankcase gasket
Carburetor intake gasket
Muffler gasket
Crankshaft oil seals

The gaskets seal the cylinder, crankcase, intake system and muffler. Meanwhile, the oil seals prevent external air from entering the crankcase along the crankshaft.

Air leakage can cause unstable idle, difficult starting or an overly lean fuel mixture. Therefore, worn oil seals should be replaced before installing a new cylinder assembly.

Before installing the Husqvarna 55 gasket kit, clean all sealing surfaces and check the bearings. After assembly, check the crankcase pressure and vacuum.
