Fuel System Part Check
This part is the fuel hose between the tank-mounted fuel filter and the carburetor.
This is not a pulse hose and is not the chain lubrication system oil hose.
Before ordering, compare:
the shape of the hose
its entry point into the fuel tank
the connection to the carburetor
the fuel filter side
the original 1123 series numberThe fuel filter is a separate part and is not part of the hose itself.
Other STIHL Chainsaw Families
This hose should not be confused with the STIHL 017, 018, MS170 and MS180 fuel hose. These saws belong to the 1130 design family and use a different fuel hose.
Also, MS251 family saws must be checked against their own parts catalog and not assigned to the MS250 just because of a similar model number.
Replacement
Before removing the old hose, empty the fuel tank.
Check the hose at its entry into the tank and at the connection to the carburetor. Cracks, hardened rubber or lost elasticity can cause fuel leakage or additional air entering the fuel system.
Route the new hose the same way as the original. It must not be twisted, overstretched or pinched by the carburetor housing.
Securely attach the fuel filter and carburetor. After adding fresh fuel and before starting the saw, check the entire system for leaks.
