This Echo SRM-4300 cylinder kit – 40 mm Winzor aftermarket cylinder and piston kit, designed for the 42,7 cm³ ECHO SRM-4300F, SRM-4300R and RM-4300 engine family. It corresponds to cylinder number A130000870 and ECHO cylinder and piston kit number P021014501.

This is a later-design 40 mm SRM-4300 cylinder group. It is not the same as the earlier SRM-4300 cylinder version A130000290 / A130000292.

In this later cylinder group, factory diagrams use a single 10001110530 piston ring.

Important SRM-4300 Version Difference

In older SRM-4300 parts catalogs the A130000290 cylinder is used. This number was later changed to A130000291 and A130000292.

This is a different cylinder family than the A130000870 type kit sold on this page.

Therefore the SRM-4300 model name alone is not sufficient if an older machine is being repaired.

Identify this kit by the A130000870 / P021014501 numbers, the 40 mm cylinder diameter and the later SRM-4300F\/R construction.

Installation check

Before installation, check the crankshaft, the upper needle bearing of the connecting rod and the crankcase sealing surfaces.

Also check the intake system sealing and the crankshaft seals. Additional air intake or an improperly adjusted carburetor can cause an overly lean mixture and overheat the new piston.

Install the piston in the correct orientation. Before fitting the 40 mm cylinder, ensure the piston ring correctly rests on its locating pin.

After assembly, rotate the crankshaft by hand several times. Before starting the engine the piston must move freely.
