  • This Husqvarna 137 cylinder kit – a non-original engine cylinder group set intended for selected Husqvarna 136, 137, 141 and 142 chainsaw versions with a 38mm cylinder. It can be used to replace a scratched cylinder, a damaged piston, a worn piston ring or another faulty cylinder group part.

    The included cylinder is marked as having a chrome-plated working surface. In addition, the main parts required for piston installation are provided.

    The kit is sold for selected versions of these chainsaws:

    Husqvarna 136
    Husqvarna 137
    Husqvarna 141
    Husqvarna 142

    However, during different production periods these and related models may have used different cylinders. Therefore the model number alone is not enough. Before ordering, measure the diameter of the removed cylinder and make sure that the required cylinder is exactly 38mm.

    Parts included in the kit

    The kit shown in the photos includes:

    38mm cylinder
    Piston
    Piston ring
    Piston pin
    Piston pin retaining rings
    Red silicone engine sealant

    Separate intake and exhaust gaskets are not visible in the photo. Therefore, if additional gaskets, bearings or oil seals are required for the repair, they should be purchased separately.

    Before installation check the crankshaft bearings, connecting rod, needle bearing, intake joint, seals and carburetor adjustment. Also clean the crankcase surface and prevent dirt from entering the engine.

    When assembling, lubricate the piston, ring and cylinder with two-stroke engine oil. Finally check that the ring is properly fitted at the locating pin and that both retainers are fully seated. You can find more parts in the Husqvarna chainsaw parts category.
