• Cylinder kit for Chinese 5800 chainsaw (D45.2) (5800 new model) PRO

  • This 5800 saw cylinder kit – aftermarket 45,2 mm cylinder and piston kit, suitable for Chinese 5800 / CS5800 class 58cc two-stroke gasoline chainsaws with the new-type cylinder.

    Product code:

    Z5800-01PRO

    Cylinder diameter:

    45,2 mm

    Engine type:

    5800 / 58cc
    Two-stroke gasoline engine

    Fits

    The cylinder kit fits:

Chinese 5800 chainsaws with the new-type 45,2 mm cylinder
Chinese CS5800 chainsaws with the new-type 45,2 mm cylinder
Other 58cc Chinese chainsaws that use the same 5800 engine and cylinder design

5800-type engines are used in many chainsaws sold under different brands. Therefore, the mere „5800“ marking on the starter is not enough to precisely determine the cylinder version.

Important: There are several 5800 cylinder versions

More than one 45,2 mm cylinder design is used in Chinese 5800 chainsaws.

This kit is specifically the Z5800-01PRO new-type version. The cylinder port layout and external construction must match.

An identical 45,2 mm diameter does not mean that two different 5800 cylinders are the same. Different versions may have different intake and transfer port construction.

    Cylinder kit

The kit includes the main upper engine parts:

    45,2 mm cylinder
    Piston
    Piston rings
    Piston pin
    Piston pin circlips

The PRO version piston has a graphite coating that reduces direct metal friction during the engine's initial running-in period.

When to replace the cylinder kit

It's worth replacing the cylinder and piston when:

    Cylinder walls are heavily scored
    The piston has seized
The engine has lost compression due to cylinder or piston wear
    Broken piston rings
    Mechanically damaged piston

Before installing a new kit, you should find the cause of the old cylinder's failure. Check the carburetor, fuel supply, intake sealing, crankshaft seals, cooling, and the gasoline and two-stroke oil mixture.

If the engine runs too lean or draws additional air, the new cylinder can be damaged very quickly.

    Installation

Before assembly, clean the crankcase and prevent old gasket or metal debris from entering it.

Check the connecting rod, the upper needle bearing and the crankshaft bearings. When installing the piston, rings and cylinder wall, lightly lubricate them with clean two-stroke engine oil.

Install the piston in the correct direction and align the rings with their locating pins. After assembling the engine, before screwing in the spark plug, rotate the crankshaft slowly several times.
