Important: Not suitable for Husqvarna 143R-II

Although the model name is almost the same, the Husqvarna 143R-II uses a different crankshaft – 585153001.

    In short:

    Husqvarna 143R → 531007759 – fits
    Husqvarna 143R-II → 585153001 – not suitable

This should be stated directly in the product description, so the customer doesn't only discover the difference when the engine is already disassembled on the table.

    Related Engine Parts

In the Husqvarna 142R parts diagram, the following separate parts are listed together with the crankshaft:

    Crankshaft key – 531002402 / 531 00 24-02
    Upper needle bearing – 531007757 / 531 00 77-57
    Crankshaft bearings – 738220225 / 738 22 02-25

When replacing the shaft, it's worth checking these parts; however, they are not considered part of the shaft kit unless otherwise specified in the product contents.

    Installation

Replacing the crankshaft requires disassembling the engine. Before reassembly, check both main bearings, seals, the connecting rod, the needle bearing and the crankcase.

The shaft should not be hammered into the bearings with a hammer. Use appropriate pressing or pulling tools to avoid damaging the new bearings and the shaft itself.

After assembling the crankcase, rotate the shaft by hand. It should turn smoothly, without sticking and without noticeable lateral play.
