Chinese brushcutter / trimmer BC415 (40mm) crankshaft kit

This BC415 crankshaft kit – „Winzor“ crankshaft and crankcase parts set, designed for compatible Chinese-design brushcutters with a 40mm cylinder. It is suitable for replacing a worn crankshaft, bearings, or leaking oil seals.

Model markings for universal brushcutters are not fully standardized. Therefore the BC415 marking alone is not sufficient. Before ordering, compare the shaft length, tapered parts, threads, bearing dimensions, and the crankcase design.

Crankshaft installation

First inspect the crankcase halves and remove any remnants of the old gasket and seal. Then press the bearings in straight, avoiding transferring impact through their races.

Assemble the crankcase with the new gasket and seal. However, do not allow the seal to enter the bearings or internal passages. After assembly, check that the shaft rotates freely and has no binding spots. Also, before starting, check the cylinder, piston and the connecting rod position.
