• Carburetor for Oleo-Mac 947, 952 and Efco 147, 152 Chainsaws #50070224B 50070011AR

  • This Oleo-Mac 947 carburetor – a non-original diaphragm part, intended for selected Oleo-Mac 947, Oleo-Mac 952, Efco 147 and Efco 152 petrol chainsaw versions. It is used when the old carburetor no longer meters fuel accurately, does not maintain a stable idle, or does not allow the engine to accelerate smoothly.

The carburetor corresponds to numbers 50070224B and 50070011AR. However, several different carburetor designs have been used within these chainsaw families. Therefore compatibility must be checked against the removed part, not solely by the chainsaw model.

Before ordering, compare the mounting hole spacing, intake port, fuel connection, pulse channel, throttle lever and choke mechanism. Also check the positions of the adjustment screws and the control components.

In these Oleo-Mac and Efco model families, different Walbro or Zama type carburetors can be found. Therefore one cannot assume that all designs are interchangeable just because they were fitted to chainsaws with the same name.

A faulty carburetor can make starting difficult, cause unstable idle, or reduce power. However, the same symptoms may be caused by worn fuel lines, a clogged filter, a leaking intake system or crankshaft seals. Therefore first check the entire fuel system.

When installing, use proper, undamaged gaskets and do not block the pulse channel. After installation, check the operation of the throttle and choke. Finally, adjust the carburetor according to the requirements of the specific chainsaw, as a too-lean mixture can damage the engine.
