• Carburetor for gasoline chainsaw ECHO CS4400 (AN)

  • This Echo CS-4400 carburetor – a non-original replacement, designed for compatible Echo CS-440 and CS-4400 Type 1E gasoline chainsaws. It replaces the WT-416 and WT-416C carburetor versions used in the serial number ranges listed below.

The Echo CS-4400 Type 1E is a 43,6 cm³ chainsaw. On early Type 1E models Echo used the WT-416, and in later production – the WT-416C. This carburetor is intended for both of these versions.

    What to Check Before Installing?

Before removing the old carburetor locate the saw's model and serial number plate. Check whether the saw falls into one of the ranges listed above.

Then compare these locations on the old and new carburetors:

    Mounting holes
    Intake port
    Throttle shaft and linkage
    Choke mechanism
    Fuel and pulse channel connection
    Arrangement of adjustment screws

During installation inspect the intake gaskets, the pulse tube, the fuel hose and the air filter elbow. Replace damaged sealing parts separately, as air leaks will prevent proper adjustment of the new carburetor.

After installation check that the throttle fully opens and returns freely to the idle position. Also check the fuel connections for leaks. Perform the final idle, low and high speed mixture adjustments according to the repair data for the specific saw.
