Purpose of the Oleo-Mac Sparta ignition coil
The ignition coil generates the high voltage required by the spark plug. If the module fails, the following symptoms may occur:
No spark
Spark is weak or inconsistent
Engine is hard to start
Warm engine stalls
Engine runs intermittentlyHowever, similar symptoms can also be caused by the spark plug, its cap, the wires, or the engine kill switch.
Before installation inspect the flywheel, magnets, the spark plug lead and electrical connectors. Also clean any dirt accumulated around the coil.
Attach the new module evenly and set the correct gap between the coil and the flywheel according to the technical specifications of the specific model. After mounting, rotate the engine by hand and make sure the flywheel does not touch the coil.
Finally, check the spark and start the brushcutter safely. You can find more suitable components in the Oleo-Mac brushcutters parts category.
