Anti-vibration damper kit Husqvarna 236

The Husqvarna 236 damper kit is intended for repairing the anti-vibration system of compatible petrol chainsaws. „Winzor“ kit replaces worn or damaged spring connectors that separate the engine housing from the handles and the fuel tank housing.

During operation, the saw's engine constantly generates vibration. The spring dampers absorb part of this movement and reduce the vibration transmitted to the handles. A functioning system ensures more comfortable saw handling and protects adjacent housings and mounting points from additional stress.

Replacing all three dampers together ensures a more even support for the saw's engine and handle assemblies. Signs of wear may include increased handle vibration, excessive movement between the engine and the handle, rattling, a broken spring, or damaged spring mounting ends.

Before starting repairs, disconnect the ignition spark plug wire. When separating the engine and handle housings, support them to avoid placing extra load on the remaining mounting points.

Clean the damper mounting points and check that the plastic housings are not cracked. Fit each spring into its designated location without stretching or bending it. After reassembling the saw, check the fuel lines, wires and the throttle mechanism.

The engine assembly in the anti-vibration system should move slightly but must not touch the handle housing. All three dampers should carry an equal load.
