Air filter for Husqvarna 40 petrol chainsaw

This Husqvarna 40 air filter – a non-original intake system part designed for selected versions of the Husqvarna 40 petrol chainsaw. It can replace a damaged, heavily contaminated or worn filter that no longer traps sawdust and other airborne debris.

The part shown in the photo has a rigid black frame with the filtering material secured in it. One air filter is supplied, without an additional cover, screws or carburetor parts.

The air filter traps sawdust, dust and other contaminants to prevent them from entering the carburetor and engine. Therefore, a torn or improperly seated filter may allow abrasive particles to enter the cylinder. On the other hand, a heavily clogged filter restricts airflow and may impair engine performance.

Before installation, remove sawdust from the filter housing, but do not allow it to enter the open carburetor opening. Also check the filter cover, sealing surface and mounting points.
